Ellie Pagan has a list of reasons to stay away from Ford Landry.
It’s a mile long and was so much easier to stick to when he was a world away. Now that he’s standing in front of her—body hard and chiseled from a stint in the military, suit cut to perfection, and a smirk she could never resist—remembering all the reasons why just got a whole lot
Ford gets Ellie isn’t his biggest fan. He just doesn’t care.
Standing in front of him, giving him hell, she’s even prettier than he remembered. All he can think about is how she felt in his arms, the taste of her kiss, the sound of her giggle in the middle of the night. He may not know how to win her back, but he does know this: he may have let her go once, but that’s one mistake he won’t make again.
Can I please become of a member of the Landry family? Seriously – I love this family, and I am creating a list of book-families-I-want-to-belong-to and putting them at the top of that list. Adriana Locke has a gift for creating a warm and wonderful cast of characters in this tight-knit family, and this is is one of my favorite family-centric series.
Swear is Ford Landry’s story. He’s spent the last ten years in the military but is now back in Georgia starting his own security firm. When he enlisted, he left behind the love of his life, Ellie Pagan, and crushed her heart in the process. He didn’t expect to see her again, but when he does, every feeling he had for her comes roaring back to life. He realizes he’s never stopped loving her.
Seeing Ford again isn’t as easy for Ellie. She’s still incredibly hurt by his leaving, and she can’t trust him not to break her again. She’s not sure she can survive it. But Ford commits himself to shattering her defenses and alleviating her fears, and he is deadly sexy and swoon-worthy as he does so.
Ford and Ellie have amazing chemistry and obviously love each other, and Swear is everything a second-chance romance should be. I loved every page of this romantic and sexy story, and I just hope these Landry kids can make babies fast enough to keep the Landry Family series going with a new generation after these six have their stories told.
